In Development

We have many projects in development, across genres, this is a selection. . .

BG an intimate portrait of Boris Grebenshikov

BG as he is known in his homeland, Russia,  is an absolute legend. There appears to be no equivalent anywhere else in the world. A singer songwriter who is loved and revered by young and old alike. He has been the leader of Russian group Aquarium who this year are touring Russia to celebrate their 40th  anniversary. This documentary film will include interviews, observational documentary, and performances small and large. The programme will be premiered in Moscow on St Andrews night 2012.

Moths

A sitcom written by writer/actor/stand-up comedian Johnny Meres. It is about the odd bunch who work on the night shift at a small 24 hour supermarket, somewhere in Britain, and the even odder customers lured there - like moths to a flame. Sad, strange, poignant and funny. But mainly funny. Which is handy.

Sing for your Supper

Celebrating the history and craft of musicals, in partnership with Britain's most successful musical theatre writers, George Styles and Anthony Drewe, Sing for your Supper is a witty, effervescent, delight of a show. A food and travel show with a very musical flavour, each week two different major stars and practitioners of musical theatre will join George and Anthony in a French farmhouse, shopping for and preparing a delicious meal, all the while exploring their craft, talking about their careers, their highs and lows and their loves and desires.

And then, in the gloaming,  they will sit around the Piano ,  finally Singing for their Supper.

The Weatherman

The glass is falling hour by hour, the glass will fall forever,
But if you break the bloody glass, you won’t hold up the weather.
Louis Macniece (Belfast poet)

You can never escape it - we are obsessed with it, and in so many ways it has shaped us as a people. The weather. It impacts on everything we do, sometimes subtly and at times brutal and deadly. In this series we will look at our weather and climate past present and future. We will try to show just how much it has mattered, does matter and with climate change how much it matters for the future. Presented by the Weatherman, Alex Hill, a meteorological advisor to the Scottish Government.
